The T.O.V.A. test (both visual and auditory) runs 21.6 minutes for ages five-and-a-half (5.5) years old and older. The first half of the test is stimulus infrequent, and the second half is stimulus frequent.
The preschool visual T.O.V.A. test is for subjects ages 4 to 5.5, and it is 10.8 minutes long, half the length of the test for older subjects. Like the longer test, the first half is stimulus infrequent, and the second half is stimulus frequent.
The auditory T.O.V.A. is not available under six (6) years of age. Research has shown that the hearing spectrum has not developed enough discrimination to differentiate the sounds.
