Any of these errors may occur:
The T.O.V.A. Windows service is stopped...
'PREPARE' cannot be performed because the service is stopped.
The T.O.V.A. service failed to prepare the system for the PTE.
Failed to ask service about the system's state.
Our attempts to connect to the T.O.V.A. PTE activation service failed.
This usually indicates that the T.O.V.A. service has been stopped or failed to start. If there is a ‘Start service’ button, click it. (Note: This requires that you grant permission to the operation.)
If no ‘Start service’ button appears, you can attempt to start the T.O.V.A. PTE activation service by restarting your computer, or you can start the service manually:- Go to ‘Start’, ‘Run’ or hold the ‘Start’ key and press ‘R’.
- Enter
services.msc
and press ‘Enter’. This brings up the Services window. - Highlight ‘T.O.V.A. PTE Activation’ and, if it’s not already running, ‘Start’ the service.
If these errors persist, click ‘Send to tech support‘ instead. This gives us a head start on resolving your technical issues.
